Tsa Tsa's from Tibet

Today I was working in the studio when someone appeared in the doorway. Since I lost my glasses accidentally while burning brush wood I didn't recognize that it was my friend Pierre Page along with my friend France Gravel, just returned from traveling to Tibet, Hawaii and British Columbia before returning to Quebec. They brought with them Tsa-tsa moulds made of bronze. These are buddhist tools for making relief images such as Buddhas and teacher-yogis. I am going to be making some impressions with clay and firing them to maturity. The moulds were made by monks in the monastery near the town where Pierre and France had been staying. Was wonderful to see them again and hear the stories of their travels.
